ValueForge
ValueForge Privacy Policy
Announced: October 7, 2026 · Effective date: October 7, 2026
ValueForge ("we", "us") provides the mobile game "Before mom comes" (package name: com.valueforge.beforemomcomes; the "Service") worldwide. This policy explains what information is processed when you use the Service. It takes into account the laws of the places where users live, including the Korean Personal Information Protection Act, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR, the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA).
1. Information we process
The Service does not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, precise location or photos. The only information we store on a server (Google Cloud) is the information below, used to back up and restore your game progress when your account is linked through Google Play Games. For analytics and crash reporting, see Section 4.
Account linking and cloud save (Google Play Games, Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore)
| Data | Details | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Account identifiers | Firebase user ID (UID), Google Play Games player ID, Account ID (first 8 characters of the UID) | Linking your account, identifying your backup, verifying deletion requests |
| Play Games profile information | Play Games display name (nickname) and profile image URL, where Google provides them with the sign-in credentials | Account linking |
| Game progress backup | Reached level, tutorial completion, coins and reward gauge, booster counts (undo, hint, shuffle), win-streak records and streak reward status, whether certain notices were shown | Restoring progress on a new device or after reinstalling |
| Save management data | App version, operating system type, a random ID created for each installation (not your advertising ID or a hardware ID), save time, and one earlier progress snapshot kept when another device's progress replaces it | Resolving progress conflicts between devices, restoring progress when you contact support |
- How linking works: if your device is signed in to Google Play Games, the app links automatically when it starts and begins backing up. You can see the link status, last backup time and your Account ID in the app under Settings > Link Account. Every feature of the game works without linking; in that case your progress is stored only on your device.
- We do not receive your email address or your Google account password.
- Where it is stored: progress backups are stored in Google Cloud's Seoul, South Korea region (asia-northeast3). Account authentication data is processed in Google data centers in the United States and other countries (Section 8).
- Deleting your account erases the backup and stops automatic linking (Section 11).
Stored only on your device: your settings (sound, vibration, notifications, language), daily usage counters, notification schedule, and purchase state (whether you own the ad-removal product, and identifiers of purchases already processed) are stored only on your device and are not sent to us. We do not verify receipts on a server. Uninstalling the app removes this data from your device. Payment details such as card numbers are handled by Google Play directly; we and the Service do not receive or access them. See Section 3 for information handled by the payment SDK.
Game notifications: The Service schedules and displays game progress notifications on your device (local notifications), such as when your free roulette spin is available or a reminder after a period of inactivity. Information used to schedule them never leaves your device, and we do not collect personal information for notifications. The Service does not send server push notifications. Notifications are not shown between 9 p.m. and 8 a.m. the following day. On Android 13 and above, you are asked for permission first, and you can turn notifications off at any time, entirely or by type, in your device under Settings > Notifications.
2. Information processed through advertising (Google AdMob)
The Service uses Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK), provided by Google LLC, to show ads. While ads are requested and shown, the following may be sent to and processed by Google:
| Data | Details | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Device identifiers | Android advertising ID, app set ID | Ad delivery, ad measurement, fraud prevention |
| IP address | Network address (may be used to estimate approximate location) | Ad delivery, fraud prevention |
| App interactions | App launches, ad impressions, taps, video views | Ad delivery, analytics |
| Diagnostics | Performance and stability information of the ads SDK | Service quality, analytics, fraud prevention |
This data is encrypted in transit (TLS).
Google acts as an independent controller for its own purposes (ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention) and processes this data under its own privacy policy. By including the ads SDK in the Service, we cause this data to be sent to Google, and to that extent we are responsible for informing you and, where required, obtaining your consent. We do not use this data to identify you individually. How Google uses this data: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and https://policies.google.com/privacy
Advertising ID controls: you can reset or delete your advertising ID and limit ad personalization in your Android device settings (path varies by device/version; typically Settings > Google > Ads). You can manage ad settings in your Google Account at https://myadcenter.google.com.
3. In-app purchases and the payment SDK (Google Play Billing and Unity In-App Purchasing)
Paid items (ad removal, coins, packs) are processed through Google Play Billing. We use the In-App Purchasing SDK from Unity Technologies to connect to it. When you start or complete a purchase, this SDK may send the following to Unity servers (for example prd.insights.analytics.unity3d.com):
| Data | Details | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Purchase information | Purchased product, price and currency, the purchase receipt and signature issued by Google, order identifiers | Payment confirmation, service stability measurement and analytics |
| Device and app information | Platform, OS version, device model, app package name and version, game engine version, store type | Payment confirmation, service stability measurement and analytics |
| Identifiers | Install time, Unity installation ID and session ID | Payment confirmation, service stability measurement and analytics |
| Approximate region | Estimated from IP address (processed transiently) | Payment confirmation, service stability measurement and analytics |
This data is encrypted in transit (TLS). The Service does not use Unity's consent module, so this SDK is configured not to collect your advertising ID.
We do not receive or store this data; purchase state (ad-removal ownership and purchase processing records) is managed only on your device. Unity processes it under its own privacy policy (https://unity.com/legal/privacy-policy); privacy inquiries can be sent to dpo@unity3d.com.
Payment methods and payment and refund records are managed by Google Play (https://policies.google.com/privacy); request refunds through Google Play support.
Buying the ad-removal product does not remove the rewarded ads that you choose to watch, so Sections 2 and 6 continue to apply. Ad removal is restored on reinstall from your Google Play purchase history. Consumable items such as coins and boosters are included in your progress backup (Section 1) and restored with it if your account is linked; otherwise they are not restored.
4. Analytics, crash reporting and remote configuration (Google Firebase)
We use Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Remote Config from Google LLC to improve level difficulty and the game economy, fix errors, and adjust game values without an app update.
| Service | Data | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Firebase Analytics | App instance ID; gameplay events (level start and end with result, play time, use of revives, boosters and coins, whether rewarded and interstitial ads were shown, roulette and win-streak rewards, shop views, reasons for failed purchases, tutorial completion); automatically collected events (first open, session start, screen views, app removal, in-app purchase product and price); usage properties (ad-free status, level range, whether the account is linked, rewarded-ad viewing range, notification permission); device model, OS and app version, language; country and region estimated from IP address | Usage statistics, improving level difficulty and the game economy |
| Firebase Crashlytics | Crash and error reports (stack traces), device state at the time (model, OS version, free memory and storage, etc.), Crashlytics installation UUID, level number and screen name at the time of the error | Diagnosing and fixing errors, service stability |
| Firebase Remote Config | Firebase installation ID, app version, device language and country | Receiving and applying game values (prices, rewards, etc.) and feature settings remotely |
- We do not collect your advertising ID through Firebase, and we do not use Analytics data for advertising (Analytics is not linked to Google's ad services, and the advertising consent signals are always set to "denied").
- We do not send your account identifier (UID) to Analytics or Crashlytics.
- For users in the EEA, UK and Switzerland, Analytics storage is turned on only according to your choice in Section 6; if you do not consent, only limited signals without identifiers are sent. Crash reporting (Crashlytics) runs regardless of consent to keep the Service stable (Section 5).
- Google processes this data on our behalf under the Firebase Data Processing and Security Terms (Section 7). Firebase privacy information: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy
- This data is encrypted in transit (TLS).
5. Purposes and legal bases (users in the EEA, UK and Switzerland)
| Processing | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Storing or accessing advertising identifiers and other device information; personalized ads | Consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a); ePrivacy Directive Art. 5(3) and national laws). See Section 6 for how we ask. |
| Ad measurement and service stability analytics | Consent or legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) — running the ads SDK and keeping the Service reliable |
| Fraud prevention and security | Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) |
| Processing purchases, delivering and restoring purchased items | Contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) |
| Purchase events and device information handled by the payment SDK (Unity) for payment confirmation and stability measurement | Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) — you may object under Section 10 |
| Account linking, progress backup and restore, handling deletion requests | Contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) |
| Usage statistics (Firebase Analytics) | Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) |
| Crash reporting (Firebase Crashlytics) and remote configuration (Firebase Remote Config) | Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) — providing a stable service and fixing errors |
For users in Korea, we process account linking and progress backup to provide the service you request (performance of a contract), and analytics, crash reporting and remote configuration to improve the Service and keep it stable, within the scope permitted by the Personal Information Protection Act, and we obtain consent where otherwise required. For processing based on legitimate interests you have the right to object (Section 10).
6. Consent prompt and privacy options
- If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, the app shows a consent prompt at first launch, provided by Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP), where you can accept or decline.
- This choice also applies to Firebase Analytics. Analytics storage is turned on only if you consent to storing and accessing information on your device.
- You can keep playing the game if you decline; ads may then be non-personalized or limited.
- Users in some US states may see a notice that lets them opt out of the sale or sharing of data for targeted advertising.
- You can review, change or withdraw your choice at any time in the app under Settings > Privacy options. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
7. Sharing and processors
Sharing: We do not sell or provide your personal information to third parties. The information in Section 2 is sent to Google through the advertising SDK, and Google processes it for its own purposes.
Processors and service providers:
| Processor | Service |
|---|---|
| Google LLC (Firebase, Google Cloud) | Account authentication, progress backup storage (Seoul region), usage statistics, crash reporting, remote configuration |
| Unity Technologies | Processing purchase events and device information in the payment SDK (payment confirmation, service stability measurement) |
The payment itself is handled by Google Play directly with you. Google Play Games sign-in and your Play Games account are managed by Google under its own terms and privacy policy.
8. International transfers
| Recipient | Country | Data | Purpose | When and how | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Google LLC (privacy contact: https://support.google.com/policies/contact/general_privacy_form) | United States and other countries with Google data centers | Advertising ID, IP address, app interactions, diagnostics | Ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention | Sent over the network (TLS) when ads are requested | Under Google's policies |
| Google LLC (Firebase) | United States and other countries with Google data centers | Account identifiers and Play Games profile information (authentication); analytics, crash and remote configuration data in Section 4 | Account authentication, usage statistics, error diagnosis, remote configuration | Sent over the network (TLS) from time to time while you use the app | Section 9 |
| Unity Technologies and affiliates (privacy contact: dpo@unity3d.com) | United States, Europe and other countries where Unity operates | Purchase event information, device and app information, installation identifiers, approximate region | Payment confirmation, service stability measurement and analytics | Sent over the network (TLS) when you start or complete a purchase | Under Unity's policies |
Progress backups (Section 1) are stored in the Seoul, South Korea region, so for users in Korea they are not transferred abroad. For users in the EEA, UK and Switzerland, progress backups are transferred to South Korea, for which the European Commission and the UK have adopted adequacy decisions.
Where data of users in the EEA, UK or Switzerland is transferred to third countries, Google relies on transfer mechanisms recognized by law, such as the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission and its certification under the EU-US and Swiss-US Data Privacy Frameworks and the UK Extension (https://business.safety.google/adsdatatransfers/, https://policies.google.com/privacy/frameworks).
Unity states that it uses the European Commission's 2021 Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK Addendum, among other measures, for transfers of EEA, UK and Swiss data (https://unity.com/legal/privacy-policy, https://unity.com/legal/unity-data-processing-addendum-dpa).
How to refuse transfers and what happens: you can limit advertising and analytics transfers by resetting or deleting your advertising ID (Section 2) and through the privacy options (Section 6). If you do not link your account, or delete it (Section 11), no account authentication data is transferred. Because the Service is ad-supported and needs crash reporting and remote configuration to run, we do not provide a switch that disables ad requests, crash reporting or remote configuration; if you do not want these, please stop using the Service.
9. Retention and deletion
| Data | Retention | How it is deleted |
|---|---|---|
| Progress backup (Section 1, Cloud Firestore) | Until you delete your account. Deleted automatically if no new save is made for 24 months after the last save | Deleted immediately when you delete your account. Automatic deletion is carried out by Google's systems, usually within a few days after the period ends |
| Account authentication data (Firebase Authentication) | Until you delete your account | Deleted immediately when you delete your account |
| User-level usage statistics (Firebase Analytics) | 2 months after collection | Deleted automatically (aggregated statistics that cannot identify you may remain) |
| Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics) | 90 days after collection | Deleted automatically |
| Firebase installation ID for remote configuration | Expires under Firebase's policies after it stops being used, such as when the app is uninstalled | Deleted automatically |
| Deletion requests received by email and our replies | 1 year after the request is completed (to confirm handling and resolve disputes) | Emails deleted |
| Data on your device (settings, purchase state, identifiers of the 200 most recent processed purchases, and game progress if not linked) | Until you uninstall the app | Removed from your device on uninstall |
- We do not make separate backup copies of progress backups.
- Purchase, payment and refund records are kept by Google Play under applicable law and Google's policies. Order and settlement information that we see in the Google Play Console may be kept for the period required by e-commerce, tax and accounting laws.
- Retention of data processed by Google (AdMob) and Unity for their own purposes is governed by their policies.
10. Your rights and how to exercise them
All users may request access, correction, deletion or restriction of processing of their personal data.
- Check: in the app under Settings > Link Account you can see the link status, last backup time and your Account ID. If you need a copy of your backed-up progress, email us at the address below.
- Delete: you can delete your account in the app right away or request deletion by email (Section 11).
- You can reset or delete your advertising ID at any time in your device settings, and you can review or request refunds for purchases through Google Play. For any other request, contact us (Section 16) and we will address it promptly or explain how to use the relevant processor's tools (such as Google's).
Users in the EEA, UK and Switzerland also have the right to data portability, the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests, the right to withdraw consent, the right to restrict automated decisions including profiling, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in the country where you live, work or where an infringement occurred (Section 16). We respond within one month of receiving your request and, where permitted by law and necessary, extend that period and tell you why. We may ask for minimal information, such as your Account ID, to verify your identity; because an advertising ID alone may not let us identify you, we may then point you to Google's tools instead.
11. Account and data deletion requests
This section explains how to delete your account and associated data for "Before mom comes" (developer: ValueForge / 밸류포지).
Option 1 — Delete in the app (immediate)
- Open Settings in the app.
- Tap Link Account.
- Tap "Delete account" at the bottom of the window, then tap "Delete" in the confirmation window.
"Delete account" appears only while your account is linked, and an internet connection is required.
Option 2 — Request by email if you cannot use the app
- To: yjlee@valueforge.co.kr
- Subject: [Before mom comes] Account deletion request
- Include: your 8-character Account ID (shown as "Account ID" at the bottom of Settings > Link Account in the app). If you do not know it, include your Google Play Games nickname, the last level you reached and the approximate date you last played.
- We delete your account within 30 days of receiving your request and reply to confirm.
- If we cannot identify your account from the information you send, we may ask for more information or guide you to Option 1. If you reinstall the app, it links automatically to the same Play Games account, so you can then use Option 1.
What is deleted
- Your entire progress backup on our server (including the one earlier snapshot)
- Your Firebase account (UID, Play Games link, Play Games profile information)
What is not deleted or is kept separately
- Game progress stored on your device: deleting your account is not a game reset, so it stays. It is removed when you uninstall the app.
- Usage statistics (up to 2 months) and crash reports (90 days): these are device-level data not linked to your account, so they are not removed immediately by account deletion; they are deleted automatically after the periods in Section 9.
- Purchase and payment records: kept by Google Play for the period required by law.
- Your Google Play Games account and its records: managed by Google (in the Google Play Games app settings).
After deletion
Deleted backups cannot be restored. Automatic linking stops on the device where you deleted the account. If you tap "Google Play Games" in Settings > Link Account yourself, a new account is created and backup starts again from that device's progress.
12. US residents (California and other states)
Whether or not we meet the legal applicability thresholds, we let users covered by California and other US state privacy laws make the requests below. In the past 12 months the Service processed these categories of information:
| Category (CCPA) | Examples | Source | Disclosed to / purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
| Identifiers | Advertising ID, app set ID, IP address, Unity installation ID, app instance ID, Firebase installation ID, Crashlytics installation UUID, Firebase UID, Play Games player ID and nickname | Your device, ads SDK, payment SDK, Firebase SDK, Google Play Games | Ad service provider (Google) / ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention. Payment SDK provider (Unity) / payment confirmation, stability measurement. Service provider (Google Firebase) / account authentication, backup, analytics, error diagnosis |
| Commercial information | Products purchased, price, purchase receipt information | Payment SDK, Firebase Analytics | Unity / payment confirmation, stability measurement. Google Firebase / usage statistics |
| Device and app information | OS version, device model, app version, crash reports | Payment SDK, ads SDK, Firebase SDK | Unity, Google / payment confirmation, stability measurement, ad stability, error diagnosis |
| Internet or app activity | App launches, ad impressions, taps, views, gameplay events | Ads SDK, Firebase Analytics | Google / ad delivery, analytics, usage statistics |
| Game progress | Reached level, coin and booster counts, win-streak records | You (when your account is linked) | Google Firebase / progress backup and restore |
| Approximate location | Region estimated from IP address | Ads SDK, Firebase SDK | Google / ad delivery, fraud prevention, usage statistics |
- Sale and sharing: Providing advertising identifiers and similar data to advertising companies through the ads SDK may count as a "sale" or as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under some state laws. We treat it that way, and you can opt out at any time.
- How to opt out: in the app under Settings > Privacy options; by resetting or deleting your device advertising ID or limiting ad personalization; or by emailing us. When Google receives an opt-out signal such as Global Privacy Control from a user in an applicable state, it switches to restricted data processing (https://business.safety.google/rdp/).
- Your rights: to know, delete (Section 11), correct, opt out of sale/sharing, and limit the use of sensitive personal information (we do not collect sensitive personal information), and to be free from discrimination for exercising them. An authorized agent may make a request for you. We respond within 45 days.
- Information passed to the payment SDK provider (Unity) and to Google Firebase is for payment confirmation, account and backup, usage statistics and error diagnosis; we do not treat it as a sale or sharing for advertising purposes.
- We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of users under 16.
13. Children
The Service is intended for users aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 14 (Korea), under 13 (US COPPA) or under the applicable age in your country. We do not serve personalized ads to children. If you believe a child's information has been processed, contact us and we will take steps to delete it without delay.
14. Automated decision-making
We do not make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you. Ad personalization is performed by Google under its own policies and can be limited through your choice in Section 6 and your device settings. Remote configuration (Section 4) is used only to change game values by app version, language or country, not to make individual decisions about you.
15. Security
- Encryption in transit: communication between the app and Google (AdMob, Firebase) and Unity is protected by encryption (TLS).
- Encryption at rest: progress backups and account data are encrypted by default when stored in Google Cloud.
- Access control: security rules allow only you, while signed in, to read, write and delete your own progress backup; other users' data and lists cannot be read. Access to the admin console is limited to our privacy officer.
- Data minimization: we do not use the advertising ID for analytics, we do not include account identifiers in analytics or crash reports, and purchase processing records stay on your device and are not uploaded. We do not collect receipts on a server.
